my new glasses have given me so much entertainment this past week. last christmas i procured glasses from the dollar tree and popped out the lenses. i wore those quite faithfully around my apartment. but last weekend, it was time to get some with lenses. i've felt so free to wear them in public! and my room-mates are significantly less embarrassed by me. =)

i remember the days when i also:
1. bought glasses and popped out the lenses so they were just frames. my friends and i wore them everywhere [around church circles where we were cool and "in the band"...uh!]. this was about senior year of HS / freshman year of college.
2. in college got "prescription glasses" with an unnoticable prescription so my insurance would cover it at the wal-mart optometrist in san dimas, ca. i wore them because they were cool, even though they aren't really that cool. i remember i wore them to preach at church so that i could remove them in the more "personable moments"... what a dork!
...ahhh... thanks for prompting me to remember and relive those moments...
